Logging a Flight

How to log a flight, track Hobbs/tach time, record landings, and add notes.

Logging a Flight

  1. Go to Aircraft and open the aircraft you flew.
  2. Click the Flights tab.
  3. Click Log Flight.
  4. Fill in the flight details:
    • Date — date of the flight
    • Hobbs Start / End — Hobbs time at engine start and engine stop
    • Tach Start / End — tach time at departure and arrival (optional)
    • Landings — number of full-stop landings
    • Pilot — select the pilot (defaults to you)
    • Notes — optional freeform notes (route, passengers, remarks)
  5. Click Save Flight.

Aircraft totals (Hobbs, tach, cycles) update automatically.

You can also log a flight without navigating to a specific aircraft:

  1. Click Flights in the sidebar.
  2. Click Log Flight (top right).
  3. Select the aircraft from the dropdown, then fill in the same fields.

Editing a Past Flight

  1. Open the aircraft → Flights tab (or the main Flights page).
  2. Click on the flight entry.
  3. Click Edit Flight.
  4. Make your changes and click Save.

Editing a flight will recalculate aircraft totals and inspection due-dates.

Deleting a Flight

Open the flight entry and click Delete Flight. This removes the record and adjusts aircraft totals accordingly.
