What Are Trip Templates?
Trip Templates let you save common charter routes as reusable blueprints. Instead of entering the same departure airport, destination, aircraft, and passenger count every time, you create a template once and use it to pre-fill new trips instantly.
To access: Professional → Templates.
Creating a Template
- Click New Template.
- Fill in the template details:
- Template Name (required) — e.g., "Weekly KBOS→KJFK Executive"
- Departure Airport — ICAO code (optional, leave blank for flexible routes)
- Destination Airport — ICAO code (optional)
- Aircraft — a specific aircraft, or leave as "Any aircraft"
- Trip Type — Charter, Passenger, Repositioning, Training, or Maintenance
- Default Pax Count — pre-fills the passenger count
- Typical Duration (hrs) — used for scheduling estimates
- Notes — standard instructions or notes to include on every trip
- Click Create.
Using a Template
From the Templates list, click the copy icon on any template to open the New Trip form pre-filled with all the template's data. You can still edit any field before creating the trip.
Editing and Deleting Templates
Use the pencil icon to edit any template, or the trash icon to delete it. Deleting a template does not affect any trips already created from it.
Best Practices
- Create templates for routes you fly regularly (weekly shuttles, recurring executive runs)
- Leave aircraft blank on templates where multiple aircraft are interchangeable
- Use the Notes field for standard passenger briefing text or pilot instructions
- Name templates descriptively — include route and purpose so dispatchers can find them quickly
Requirements
- Pro module enabled
- Trip Templates feature enabled in Professional → Settings
