How the pre-departure checkout checklist works, including inspection status, squawks, and pilot currency.
Before departing, pilots go through the checkout verification flow in Aloft360. It surfaces any open issues that could affect airworthiness or legal dispatch — before the engine starts.
The checklist includes up to three sections, depending on your organization's settings:
Shows all tracked inspections for the aircraft:
Overdue inspections are flagged clearly but do not automatically block dispatch. The pilot must acknowledge them.
Any unresolved squawks are listed with their severity level. The pilot must acknowledge each one before proceeding.
Grounding-severity squawks are highlighted prominently.
If Track Pilot Currency is enabled in Settings, the checklist shows the pilot's FAA currency status:
After reviewing all items:
The aircraft is now checked out and the reservation status updates to In Progress.
